Topic: “Stand Up on the Inside”

Text: Ephesians 6:13

A lot of people easily give up during the time of adversity when things do not go the way they expected. Instead of waiting patiently in perseverance, they get discouraged and weary.

That’s understandable. Especially after a long struggle with an issue and having been engaged in fasting and praying just as we have concluded our two weeks fasting. But the truth is that if you want to achieve your full potentials in life and get to the next level, you have to be more determined.

We have just concluded a two–week fasting and some people may expect an immediate miracle. This may be possible for some people. Others may have to wait for a while. Wherever you belong, God says to tell you – “I have heard you but you must stand”!

We all face life challenges. There are many issues that come against our lives one time or the other. We get knocked out on the outside, but God is saying to us today, - ‘No matter what hit you on the outside, learn to stand up on the inside.

Your circumstance may force you to sit down for a while, but you must not stay down. Even when you are sitting down on the outside, you must see yourself standing up on the inside.

• You may have received a termination notice from your job.
• It may be a bad report from the doctor.
• It may be you are going through some crisis now.
• It could be some sort of set back.

You may feel knocked down and out right now. Beloved! You don’t have to stay down. Even if you can’t get up on the outside, stand up on the inside.
Proverbs 24:16 says, “… A just man falls seven times, and rises up again …”
Friend! Stand up on the inside and you will soon get back on your feet.
The text we read in Ephesians 6:13 says when you have done everything you need to do just keep on standing firm.

Many of you have participated in the two weeks fasting and praying. You must have done your best, received all the prophecies, you have believed God’s Word and prayed. But right now it just doesn’t look like anything is happening. I have come to tell you today that God is not a liar. He is able to do all things.

Don’t give up! Keep standing! Don’t put off the fire! Keep believing. Your miracle is on the way. God says in Hebrews 11:6 that He is the Rewarder of them that diligently seek Him. God will reward you if you keep standing up on the inside.

You may be going through some serious medical crisis that you cannot stand up on your feet. Beloved, even if you can’t stand up physically, nothing can stop you from standing up on the inside.

May be you are surrounded by people who are always bringing you down, maltreating you, making you feel bad and miserable about yourself. Don’t allow them to steal your joy. Don’t be discouraged or depressed. Continue to stand up on the inside.

I know you are going through a difficult time now. No one knows about it but friend, God knows. Therefore stay standing on the inside. Yes it is not easy considering all the painful things you may be going through, but you can do it if you decide to do so. It will take courage and determination. You’ve got to act on your will not your emotions.

In 1 Samuel 30, David and his men went out on patrol doing what God asked them to do. But while they were out, their enemies attacked their city, burned down their homes, took away their possessions and kidnapped their wives and children.

When David and his men got back, they were devastated. They cried until they had no strength left in them. The people even thought of stoning David. As David watched in despair the whole ruin, he made a decision that changed his destiny.

He was devastated and knocked down on the outside but he chose to stand up on the inside. As the spirit of a victor came upon him, instead of standing and mourning over the loss, the Bible says in verse 6 that David “encouraged himself in the Lord his God”.

In other words he got up in the inside. By God’s divine instruction, he decided to go after the enemies in perseverance. With the assistance of God, David and his men recovered all that was lost.

Beloved, your circumstances are subject to change when you choose to stand up on the inside. You may be sitting around waiting for God to change your circumstances.

Then you will have joy, have a good attitude and praise God. But God is waiting for you to get up on the inside. When you do your part, God will begin to change things and work supernaturally in your life.
Friends, develop the attitude of a victor, stand up on the inside and see what God will do. Praise God in the midst of your adversities, walk by faith and God’s miracle working power will show up on your behalf.

TOPIC: “There’s A Voice in that Storm”

TEXT: Acts 27:20-26

And when neither sun nor stars in many days appeared, and no small tempest lay on us, all hope that we should be saved was then taken away.

But after long abstinence Paul stood forth in the midst of them, and said, Sirs, ye should have hearkened unto me, and not have loosed from Crete, and to have gained this harm and loss.

And now I exhort you to be of good cheer: for there shall be no loss of any man's life among you, but of the ship.
For there stood by me this night the angel of God, whose I am, and whom I serve,
Saying, Fear not, Paul; thou must be brought before Caesar: and, lo, God hath given thee all them that sail with thee.
Wherefore, sirs, be of good cheer: for I believe God, that it shall be even as it was told me.
Howbeit we must be cast upon a certain island.

We all go through life with different kinds of experiences. Today God wants to ask you some questions:
• Can you trust God when your life gets stormy?
• Can you trust Him even when things go unexpectedly wrong?
• Can you trust Him when your situation is so discouraging that you can’t see any way of escape?
• Will you trust Him even when things seem hopeless?

The scripture we read talks about the situation of Paul and the others on the boat to Italy. The storm was raging. The wind was very heavy with the rain virtually pouring down.

And in spite of the best efforts of the crew, the boat was being battered and beaten by the storm. The experience brought the morale of all the people in the boat to an all time low. The Bible says in verse 20 that
"When neither sun nor stars appeared for many days and the storm continued raging, we finally gave up all hope of being saved."

I know there are periods when you feel just as battered and beaten and discouraged as the people on that boat. You get overwhelmed by the storms in your life. Storms come upon everyone irrespective of your stand in the Lord.

Being born again does not seclude you from storms.
The dictionary has a couple of definitions for storm but for the purpose of this message, I take the definition of storm as:
- a disturbance of the normal condition…,
- a violent disturbance of affairs, as a civil, political, social, or domestic commotion,
- to deliver a violent attack,
- to attack or assault (persons, places, or things).
Some people may be going through some very powerful storms right now. Perhaps there’s a storm brewing over your marriage. Is your marriage shipwrecked that there’s no hope at all. Have you given up hope like the people inside the boat? (Acts 27:20).

Is it about your finances? Debts are accumulating far above the resources coming in. May be your health situation is so bad that the doctors have given a very bad prognosis.

Could it be that you feel battered and storm tossed. And you have no idea why you feel that way. You can’t put a finger on it. All you know is that you feel despair and discouragement and hopelessness. And things seem so bleak that there’s no way out.

No matter what the storm is God has brought you to His presence today to answer your questions. There is good news for you friend! The good news is that in the middle of our own personal storm, God gives us a word of hope! A message of encouragement! In verse 22, Paul said to the people,
"Keep up your courage, because last night, I got a message from God!
Paul heard a voice in the storm! He had a divine visitation.

Times of storm are very difficult times in life. No matter how strong we are, when storms come, people around you and sometimes you yourself will begin to think you have done something wrong, that God must surely be punishing you.

They don’t understand that God has a divine purpose for every storm. God does not send storms but sometimes He allows us to go through them. Inside every storm, God’s voice always speaks to utter instructions and direction. The voice of God is the Word of God and Jesus Christ is the Word of God according to John 1: 14. No storm can withstand the word of God.

In Mark 4:35 – 39, the disciples were inside a boat being tossed by a great storm. Within the storm came the voice of Jesus that calmed the storm.

Israel experienced storm in form of famine in 1 Kings 17. Elijah was affected by the famine. In the midst of the famine the voice of God came to him to give him divine direction. 1 Kings 17: 7-9:
And it came to pass after a while, that the brook dried up, because there had been no rain in the land.

And the word of the LORD came unto him, saying,
Arise, get thee to Zarephath, which belongeth to Zidon, and dwell there: behold, I have commanded a widow woman there to sustain thee.
If Elijah was not sensitive to the voice of God, he would have missed his breakthrough and the lives of the widow and her son would not have been spared. Storms always help to bring out the best in peoples lives. In fact it is during the times of crisis that the stuff you are really made of comes out.

Storms also come your way to get God’s attention to you. Many times you may be so ‘busy’ that God won’t get the needed attention in your life and He will permit a storm.

In Acts 27:10 when Paul tried to warn the people about the weather, no one paid attention to him. They weren’t interested in what he had to say. He was just another prisoner. But in verse 21, while the storm was raging, and the people were losing heart, when Paul spoke up, everyone was all ears.

What storm are you facing today? God may want to say something to you. There is hope in that storm. You are here today to receive hope from the Lord concerning that storm and the Lord says to tell you – ‘You will not loss your life in that storm. The voice of the Lord is speaking to you today and He says:
Isaiah 43:1-2

But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.

When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.

My prayer is that you would become more sensitive to the storms that are stirring in your life. Beloved, even when there’s nothing you can do about the storm, there’s always something that God can do. God cares about your stormy circumstances.

And not only does God give you a message of hope for the storm and several times a ministry for the storm. He also gives you a purpose for the storm. When the storm first started, Paul might have been thinking, "Why is this happening, Lord? I thought you wanted me to testify before the emperor in Rome? I thought you wanted me to share the gospel of Jesus Christ in the highest court in the land?" But in chapters 27 and 28, we get the rest of the story.

The boat ended up on the island of Malta way on the other side of the Mediterranean Sea. And Paul was able to minister the Lord’s healing power to a people who had never experienced it before. And for the next three months, Paul was able to share the message of this new life.

Topic:Overcoming Disappointments"

Text:1 Samuel 16:1

By: Apostle Dr. Prince Nnams

And the LORD said unto Samuel, How long wilt thou mourn for Saul, seeing I have rejected him from reigning over Israel? fill thine horn with oil, and go, I will send thee to Jesse the Bethlehemite: for I have provided me a king among his sons.

Samuel is a prophet of God who suffered a horrible disappointment in his relationship with Saul the king of Israel. Samuel picked Saul out of the crowd by God’s instruction, anointed him and declared him king of Israel (1 Samuel 10:1).

Samuel did his best to keep Saul as king. He must have invested his spiritual prowess, time and energy to see that Saul remained a king. Then Saul disobeyed God and God rejected him as king. Samuel was disappointed. He began to mourn for Saul. He was in mourning until God rebuked him.

God was preparing to bring a new blessing to the people of Israel but the disappointment and reaction of Samuel would have stopped God’s plan. When we focus on our disappointments we stop God from bringing fresh and new blessings into our lives.

Beloved! One of the great and important keys to living a fulfilling life and moving forward in life is being able to overcome disappointments in life. Disappointments can be a strong obstacle to letting go of the past and until you let go of the past, you cannot appreciate the present and get ready for the future. With feeling of disappointment hanging around you, you cannot take the appropriate step to move to the next level in life.

Every one of us faces one form of disappointment or another. No matter how much faith you have some time or the other, something shakes your faith and you feel grossly disappointed. It may be something simple, such as not securing a bank loan that you applied for. It may also be something serious like a marriage break up, death of a loved one or a terminal and chronic disease. Whatever it is, disappointment has the potential to derail you, set you out of track and create havoc in your general life.

Many people are still where they are, missing out on the new beginnings God wants to give them because they keep re-opening old wounds. Beloved, no matter what you have gone through. No matter how disappointed you have been, you must release it and let it go.
Disappointments always go with setbacks.

You have to let go of that disappointment and go on with life. You are not the only one who has experienced disappointment. Disappointment is like temptation.
1 Corinthians 10:13 says,
“There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man…”

Friends! Don’t let that disappointment keep you down. God always have a plan B. Nothing takes God by surprise. As you are going through that disappointment, God is putting together a come back plan. Don’t get trapped in the past.

God is merciful and He will have mercy on you. Don’t allow the past disappointment to be a hang-up on your advancement. You can overcome disappointments. God says in Isaiah 43:18 – 19 “Remember ye not the former things … I will do a new thing…” God is in the business of doing new things in our lives

I know that it may be due to wrong choices, disobedience or sin that people miss God’s plan A. Are you in that category? Don’t worry. Go to your Father in repentance. He will show you His back up plan. God always have a back up plan in order to get you to the final destination of His plan for your life. Sometimes we may miss God’s plan ‘A’ due to the fault of other people. We at times get into serious disappointments due to the errors of other people. But hear me today; God is not unmindful of that situation. He will take you to the next level using a plan ‘B’.

In 2 Samuel 4:4, Mephibosheth, son of Jonathan became lame due to the fault of his nurse. He ended up in Lodebar - a place of dryness. God had a plan for him and at the right time, he stirred the heart of David (2 Samuel 9:1, 7) and Mephibosheth experienced a restoration. Beloved! God will remember you.

Saul was God’s first choice as king but when he disobeyed God, God unfolded his plan B.

If you will quit feeling sorry for yourself, felling dejected and disappointed and instead do what the Bible says, your future can be brighter than ever.

Notice God’s command to Samuel:

“… Fill thine horn with oil…” (1 Samuel 16:1)
- Have a fresh attitude
- Put on a smiling face
- Get back to your feet and be on your way.
Samuel could have started complaining to God how disappointed he has been. He would have been sulking and telling God how heartbroken he has been. But he trusted God for God’s plan ‘B’. If Samuel had continued to dwell on his disappointment with Saul, he would have missed King David one of the greatest kings in the Bible.

Beloved, if you continue to wallow in disappointments, you risk missing out on the new things God wants to do in your life.
It’s time to arise and get going. God has another plan for you and it is better than you can imagine! Get over those disappointments! You can overcome!!!. Forget the past and move forward. Phil. 3:13-14.

Refuse to dwell on yesterday’s disappointments. Get up each morning knowing that God is a loving and forgiving God who has great things in store for you.

Topic: “While In The Process, Hang On To The Plan”

Text: Hebrews 12:2

By: Dr. Prince Nnams

Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Jesus had a position planned and reserved for Him on God’s throne, but He had to pass through the cross with shame, pain and humiliation. I don’t know where you are headed to, but one thing I know is that God has a plan for you.

God is a Master Planner.
He is a Master Strategist.

He says in Jer. 29:11 that He knows his thoughts towards you. They are thoughts of peace to give you an expected end. God’s plan is to bless you, but that doesn’t mean He won’t correct you. This doesn’t mean He won’t deal with you and chastise you. Friend you are a child of God and the worst you can get is spanking. God is not in the business of killing His children.

Sometimes, it feels like chaos has broken out in your life but hear me today - there is nothing the enemy devices against you that God has not made a way of escape. Revelation 13:8 says the Lamb was slain from the foundation of the world. In other words from the very beginning, God had a plan of salvation even before the devil launched his attack.

There’s nothing you are going through that God has not made a way of escape. In 1 Corinthians 10:13. God says that with the temptation he will make a way of escape. So it’s not something that took God by surprise.

THE FACT THAT YOU HAVE A PROBLEM IS A SIGN THAT YOU HAVE A PROMISE. The very fact that you have a problem means there is a solution. So when there’s a problem, God has already put together a solution. God has already made a way of escape while you are trying to figure out about the storm that has come upon you.

Friends! Focus on the solution! If you cannot be distracted by the problem and focus on the solution it’s a matter of time before God reveals to you the solution He had in place from the foundation of the world.

Jesus went to the cross and endured the same. The cross is the symbol of Christianity and a symbol of solution to Christians. Jesus said in Matthew 16:24. : If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me”. He did not say take up the crown because he knows, that if you pick up the cross, the crown will take care of itself.

Many people are carrying various kinds of crosses. You came in here today, well dressed, looking trendy and smelling good, but people do not know that beneath the good dress and cologne lies a great burden. They don’t realize you’re carrying a weight of burden and a responsibility. They don’t need to realize it, because if you are carrying a cross and carrying it well, people don’t even need to perceive that you are going through what you are going through. But God will bring you into a place like this, in His presence and speak to you through His Word dealing with what is in the inside of you.

Beloved! God does not put the promise before the process because He knows that if you don’t love Him enough to endure the process, you cannot have the promise. Jesus demonstrated the process when he went to the cross. The cross was not a surprise to Him. He knew when the soldiers were coming to get him.

He prophesied about the cross and His death. When you are matured in the Lord, you always know that at some point in your life, you will face some kind of storm and attack and instead of fainting you say to yourself “ God is going to get some glory out of this!”

I don’t know about you but there are times in my life when I find myself in one huge attack and I wonder where God is in the whole thing. Then the though of what is on the other side of the attack will hit my head and as soon as I realize this, I say to myself ‘I got to make it to the other side to see what God has planned for me there’.

What process are you in today? The feeling of being forsaken is part of the process. Anybody can walk with God when His presence is manifest. The real challenge is to walk with God when it is not manifest. You may have the anointing dripping from your head, but you need faith when the presence is not felt; when you can’t feel God, where there’s no sign that God will come through. You need faith when you loose your job, when they’re about to take your house, when a loved one dies. You need faith!

Jesus felt the absence of God on the cross.
“ Eli, Eli lamasabachthani … my God, My God why has thou forsaken me”. Now let me tell you something. If Jesus got to the point when He said where is God, don’t sit there and tell me you got so much power that you never wondered and say God where are you in this hospital? Where are you in this business? God where are you when they’re taking my job? Where are you in this marriage? Where are you …?

My God why has thou forsaken me? This is the first time in the life of Jesus He called His Father God. Every other time He called Him Father. In the pain of this moment, He called Him God. He never felt Father.

Beloved, there’s no progress without a process. While in the process, hang on with the plan. Don’t give up.

I want to explain a bit what the process is.

The process is that time when you don’t have any type of benefit from either your past or your future. The process is in between places. A time when you don’t draw from what you used to draw from and you can’t draw from what you need to draw from. You are in the middle of the road; in the middle of becoming you’re evolving, in transition.

This is process. Hang on with the plan. The devil will try to distract you while in process because he knows what’s on the other side. Don’t allow him. Hang on with the plan. It is in the process that you get the most serious attack of the devil but I tell you, if you don’t give up you will have the last laugh.

Hang on with the plan. God has so much confidence in his plan for your life. The plan of God assures and guarantees your destiny. Stay in the plan. As long as you hang on to the plan, nothing the enemy does can destroy you.
1 Peter 5:10

But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.

After the process comes God’s settlement. Hang on to the plan. Don’t give up. Your miracle is on the way.

Topic: “Discover Your Kingdom Purpose”

Text: Psalms 139:14-16

By: Dr. Prince Nnams

I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.
My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.

Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.

Every human being was created in a unique way by God. Man is the special and ultimate creation of God. It was after man was created in Genesis 1:27 that in Genesis 1:31 God saw then that everything he had made was VERY GOOD.
I don’t know how you have been viewing yourself, but I’ve come here to inform you this day that you are unique.

The universe needs someone like you, in particular for it to be complete. Without you on planet earth, certain things cannot be accomplished. You are precious and highly valued before God. God does not create anything without value. You are the “Masterpiece” of God’s creation.

In the New Living Translation, Ephesians 2:10 refers to man as God’s masterpiece. God created and designed you specifically to fulfill a unique position in His ultimate plan for the Kingdom on earth.

Why are you here? What is your purpose? Until purpose is discovered, life is meaningless. I don’t know what you have fitted yourself with the special design God has uniquely bestowed on you towards His Kingdom.

You were created with a mission! There is a purpose for your life on earth!! You have a vacuum to fill in God’s scheme of things!!!
You may have made mistakes in the past. But do not worry. All you need to do is to desire to discover your Kingdom purpose and God will perfect it.

What is Kingdom Purpose?
This is your unique contribution to the Body of Christ, which drives you to be completely dependent on God and ultimately display His love towards His creatures through the expression of your specific and unique self.

God created you as a unique creature because you have a special and unique contribution, which only you can make. Your Kingdom purpose is much more than a career. It is a special commissioning given by God to you to make a significant difference on earth. Your career does not define your Kingdom purpose, but could provide you the platform to direct it.

You need to discover your Kingdom purpose because when you discover you Kingdom purpose, you will be able to lead a life of lasting significance, fulfillment and Kingdom impact.

Simon Peter was a man who discovered his Kingdom purpose. In Matthew 4:18, Jesus saw him with Andrew, his brother casting their net into the sea. Peter is a career fisherman. He was married and must have had fishing as a means of livelihood. To have owned a boat means that Peter must have been a successful fisherman.

However, catching fishes was not Peter’s kingdom purpose. He did not realize this until he met Jesus. In Matthew 4:19, Jesus spoke to him and his brother Andrew “--- Follow me and I will make you fishers of men”.

They hearkened to the voice of Jesus leaving their nets and followed Him. They were not worried about the returns of the day or even give any thought about how they will survive after leaving a career they were familiar with. In obedience, Peter discovered his kingdom purpose and was able to fulfill it. His first sermon on the day of Pentecost in Acts 2:41 brought 3,000 (three thousand) souls into the kingdom.

Peter gave up his cherished career to be what God has created him to be.
Many of you are still clinging unto your earthly cherished activities, but the question is: “Where are you today?

Hear me this day ladies and gentlemen; “UNTIL YOU GIVE UP YOUR EARTHLY PASSION, YOU CANNOT EMBRACE YOUR KINGDOM MISSION”. Your earthly passion cannot exist side by side your kingdom passion. One must give way to the other.

The Bible asks in 2 Corinthians 6:14 “…what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? And what communion hath light with darkness?”
Luke 5:37 says:
“…No man putteth new wine into old bottles …”

Many people are in the church but have still not given up their old ways of life.
2 Corinthians 5:17 says, “…If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature, old things are passed away; behold all things are become new:

Beloved, discover your kingdom purpose! Your kingdom purpose does not depend on the way people see you. God is the only one that knows you. Infact, God is continually looking for ordinary people who are willing to let him use them to make a difference for his kingdom. God uses ordinary people in extraordinary ways.

How can I discover my kingdom purposes?

1. Give up your earthly passion and seek your kingdom mission.
Mark 1:18 “…they forsook their nets, and followed him.
2. Allow God’s truth to define your kingdom purpose. It is not the trend of events
or what others tell you that define your kingdom purpose, but the truth of God’s work.
3. Be faithful to God. The more time you spend with God, the more you learn of
His goodness and plans for your life.
4. Be courageous and strong in the Lord, Joshua 1:9.

Finally brethren, I challenge you today to invest in God’s kingdom in a way that will last long after you are gone. Be a contributor not a consumer. God is waiting for you.

Topic: SACRIFICE OF PRAISE

Text:Hebrews 13:15-16
By: Dr. Prince Nnams

By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.
But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.

In the old dispensation, you can not come to the presence of God for blessing or cleansing without bringing along a form of animal sacrifice. These animal sacrifices were offered to God for thanksgiving or for sin atonement.
Noah offered a sacrifice of thanksgiving:
Genesis 8:20-21a:

“And Noah builded an altar unto the LORD; and took of every clean beast, and of every clean fowl, and offered burnt offerings on the altar.
And the LORD smelled a sweet savour; …”

There is also the sacrifice for sin:
Exodus 29:36
“And thou shalt offer every day a bullock for a sin offering for atonement…”

Basically, the animal sacrifices its life, for the benefit of the person bringing the sacrifice.
The theological term here is atonement. In the English language, "atone" was formed from the words "at one". This means that in order for them to be "at one" with God, they had to perform the sacrifice.

Beloved, we don’t have to bring animals any longer for any form of sacrifice. That’s because Jesus became the Ultimate Sacrifice.
He paid the price of our sin.
He made atonement on our behalf.
He died and shed His blood so that we could enjoy a right relationship with God.
Hebrews 13:12 (NIV) says:

“…so Jesus also suffered outside the city gate to make the people holy through his own blood"

But today, we don’t bring animals to sacrifice. Jesus has already died for our sins. There’s a special sacrifice that is expected of us to bring before the Lord. This is the sacrifice of praise!
What is Sacrifice?

A religious act belonging to worship in which offering is made to God in order to attain, restore, maintain or celebrate friendly relations with God. Sacrifice expresses praise and adoration with the main purpose to please God and to secure His favor.
In every sacrifice, an offering is made.

In Hebrews 13:15, we are asked to offer the sacrifice of praise with the fruits of our lips.
Friends! Praise is a sacrifice when it is offered in faith with your whole heart.
The praise sacrifice can not be complete until you say it with your lips. Our God is a speaking God. He made the earth with the power of His Words. God knows the power of words when He says in Proverbs 18:21 that:

“…Death and life are in the power of the tongue…”
He understands the power of words.
God wants you to open your mouth! Tell your neighbor – ‘open your mouth!’

The one thing the devil will like to take away from you is the power of your words through praise.

He does not mind if you clap your hands.
He is comfortable if you are jumping up and down.
It’s okay for him if you are standing or seating on the pew provided you do not open your mouth and praise God.

God knows our thoughts, so He knows when we appreciate something He has done for us without us ever saying a word. But He still wants our verbal praise! He wants you to open your mouth and praise Him!
Praise is God’s place of abode. He lives in it. Therefore, offer Him the sacrifice of praise.

Psalms 22:3 says that He inhabits the praises of Israel.
Folks, you need the presence of God, offer Him the sacrifice of praise!
Praise ushers you into His courts.
Psalms 100:4 says:
“…Enter into … his courts with praise…”

You need the presence of God all the time irrespective of where you are. You therefore need to praise Him always.
Praise Him when you are in the bedroom.
Praise Him when you are in the kitchen.
Praise Him while you are driving.
You may be in the hair dressing salon, praise him!

While in the shopping mall, praise Him.
Friends! This is a full-time job!
Give someone a high five and say to the person – ‘It’s a full-time job’.

Now, I can assure you, it is easy to praise the Lord when ...all the kids are healthy...the Lord is blessing...and the bills are paid...
But, how do we respond when...a loved one is sick...or perhaps we feel abandoned by God...or our bills are mounting up.
Do we praise the Lord then?

That’s a SACRIFICE of praise.
He wants you to praise Him no matter the circumstance.

Praise Him when you loose your job.
Praise him when that sickness is yet to leave you.
Praise Him when your account is in red.
Praise Him when the immigration is after you.
Praise Him in the morning, afternoon and night. It is a continuous affair!

One thing the enemy can not stand is when you praise the Lord in the midst of afflictions.
Ask Paul and Silas. (Acts 16)

Praise produces an earthquake!
It shakes prison houses!
Praise opens doors!
It loosens the bands of the devil!
Most of all, it causes your oppressors to destroy themselves.

Where are you today? What is going on in your life? May be you are not at your best. It could be that your life and circumstances seem to be turned upside down.
Beloved, you need to open your mouth! Offer Him the sacrifice of praise!

Topic:God Has More For You”

Text: 1 Corinthians 2:9
By:Apostle Dr. Prince Nnams

But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

Many people are going through life with a mentality that they cannot advance further than where they are. Some believe and act like they have come to the point of no advancement. Beloved! This is your year of increase!

I don’t know where you are today. I don’t know your thoughts, but I’ve got some information for you. Hear this –
God has a dream for your life that is much greater and bigger than you can ever imagine.
If God shows everything He has in store for you, it will blow your mind.
You may have some huge problems in your life today.

It may be your job, your finances, health or marriage. No matter what pressures come against you, they may be external from the forces of evil on earth or they may be internal from within you. No matter from where they are coming, God says to tell you this day –
“There is more in God’s storehouse for you!”
Many people limit God by the way they think. They dwell on the negatives. Their thoughts are filled with failure and unbelief.

Friend! Make room in your thinking to accommodate the new things God has for you. He is getting ready to do something new in your life. Don’t miss the opportunity God is throwing your way by your negative thinking.
What you receive is directly connected to your belief pattern and your expectations.
If you want God to do extra ordinary things, start believing Him for greater things.

Mark 9:17-27

The man’s son in Mark 9 above had a dumb spirit. The man took him to Christ’s disciples and they could not heal him. He was not deterred. He still went to Jesus because he knew God had more for him. When he came to Jesus, Jesus still told him that he ought to believe the extraordinary. Friend! You can’t receive what you can’t believe! Mark 9 vs. 23 – Jesus said “all things are possible to him that believe”.

We are fond of saying with God all things are possible. Yes I believe this, but Jesus was very clear about it when He said – Yes all things are possible, but not to every one, but to those that believe. This man believed God and got his miracle.

Friend! Are you limiting God? God has more for you. God wants to do a new thing in your life, but you’ve got to do your part. Start thinking big. Don’t settle for less.

- “I can’t get beyond this position in my place of work”
- “I have reached the level my education can allow me”
- “I will never make more money than am making now”.

Beloved! God has more for you. Your job is not your source! American Government is not your source! God is your source and His resources are unlimited.
God can give you an idea that can change your life and destiny for the best. He is not limited by your qualification or where you are today. God can do anything. Only believe! He can do anything because He has more for you if you can stop limiting him by the way you think.

Many times we go for the crumbs when the real stuff is available just because we limit ourselves by our thinking pattern.

Luke 5:2-5

Peter was asked to launch into the deep and let down his nets. Peter limited himself and let down his net. In his thinking he must have said to himself – “who is this preacher to tell me how to fish when I have toiled all night without catching any thing”. He decided to go for the crumbs by casting in one net against Jesus’ instruction for him to cast in nets. God had more for him but he chose to limit himself.

Beloved! Where are you today? Can you change your thinking pattern and begin to think big, plan big, act big, believe big and work with God, because He has more for you.
